Tips for Your Skin on Keeping It Dry

Most people think that in order to achieve that younger and healthy looking skin, you should use those expensive products advertised by celebrities. Well, it's definitely not true! A person can achieve that gorgeous skin you've always wanted in as easy as one, two three.

Cleansing and moisturizing are the key components in maintaining a healthy skin. Moisturising with the right products can hydrate your skin and promote relaxation. Bathing or showering also removes dirt, germs and dead skin cells. However, most cleansers have harmful effects on the skin. Bathing with hot or even warm water, using harsh soaps, and scrubbing or exfoliating very often will dry out the skin.

It is proposed by manufacturers that moisturisers help you to hydrate the skin and protect it from environmental damage. While this is true, I have found most moisturisers do not achieve this, under the careful scrutiny of scientific trials. In fact, after extensive research I discovered that very few products have been clinically proven to do what their manufacturers heavily promote. I invite you to ignore the massive marketing campaigns and baseless claims made by the vast majority of moisturiser companies.

In fact, it is only after working with dozens of skin care companies that I found any products that can truly make you skin better-looking and rehydrate the cells. Very few creams do what their manufacturers claim - and when I asked for proof it was either weak or completely lacking. Most creams have not been proven to encourage an orderly shedding process which makes the skin appear smoother. But when you discover the right products, products that have been proven in published scientific trials then you will find that effective cleansing and moisturizing are easy to do and these guidelines will help you attain that younger looking skin.

Now, a lot of people love bathing for long hours or bath or wash many times a day. Others may enjoy this, but our skin does not. Bathing too often dries out the skin by removing your natural oils. So a quick 5 to 10 minute bath or shower with lukewarm water can help reduce the dehydrating effect washing has on your skin. Frequent washing or hot baths or showers worsen skin drying. And after washing, while the skin is still moist, is the most important time to apply a scientifically proven moisturiser to hydrate the skin more effectively.

Any soaps and cleansers should be very mild to the skin. Use a mild cleanser that is free of multiple, unproven ingredients - without useless or harmful chemicals or other 'natural' ingredients which you may be incorrectly persuaded to believe are helpful to your skin. After extensive research I can say that most substances, natural or man-mande are contribute no value to your skin or are even potentially irritating and therefore age the skin. So I invite you to stop using your soap or cleanser unless you feel your skin is visibly unclean. At first my patients feel startled when I tell the to only wash your face twice a week, and for the first few weeks they find it a little difficult, but once your skin has adjusted they all agree their skin is better than it was when they were 10-15 years younger! They all become converts.

When you must remove make up then use a cotton ball and the bare minimum of cold water.

Avoid rubbing or scrubbing. And pat the skin dry with a towel and apply the best moisturiser when the skin is damp. This will trap in the moisture from the bath or shower. Use the best moisturiser every after shower during the day and night. Use a best facial moisturizer for the face and dry skin lotion for the hands, feet and the rest of the body.

Based on all my research and my patient feedback and that of my fellow cosmetic surgeons, Restylane products offer a wide range of selection and can cater what you are looking for. Familiarize yourself with the different products in the Restylane range and select the one(s) that suits your needs. As you choose the right one for you you can avoid buying lots of different unproven products that often do little good or even harm your skin.
